I enjoy filming most of all. Ever since
I shot my first films of West African ceremonies
over 20 years ago, I've had an eye and a
knack for catching the nuances of events
where tradition and change meet and mingle.
It is fun to imagine that when your
descendants see your wedding documentary,
there's a good chance they'll see the roots
of ceremonial elements that have since become
